Sunday evening services

One Sunday evening each month our congregation and guests come together to have an evening service of either missions reports, church updates or communion, followed by dinner. In the summer months, we meet at a partk for a Fourth of July celebration. In August we hold an annual baptism picnic.

July Picnic & Pie Contest/Auction

Our annual July picnic is scheduled this year for Sunday, July 3, 2011 from 4 - 8 p.m. at Allen County Farm Park. Please bring a side dish and a dessert to share. That day, we will also hold our third annual pie contest/auction. To sign up to attend the picnic and/or to enter the contest, please contact Pam Winkleman or sign up at the church's welcome desk.

Annual GCC baptism

For those who would like to express their dedication and obedience to God, we offer an annual baptismal service in August at the Stile's pond. The evening begins with baptisms/testimonies, followed by a picnic dinner and lots of swimming and games. If you wish to be baptised, please contact Pastor John Heyward for more details.

Family Promise

The Family Promise mission is to help homeless and low-income families achieve sustainable independence. Grace Community Church is part of the network of churches helping homeless families in the Lima area. Operation Christmas Child - Samaritan's Purse

Each year volunteers work tirelessly to prepare for this program that touches countless children worldwide. Caring people provide gifts, hygiene items, toys, non-perishable treats, bibles, spiritual messages and more in shoe boxes (or plastic storage containers). All boxes are collected throughout the country and then shipped to undisclosed locations around the world where children are hungry for Jesus' love. The program brings the gospel and Christian love to so many who would otherwise never receive it.

National Collection Week for our area is in November at TV-44 on Baty Road in Elida, Ohio. Contact us if you would like to be a part of this annual effort.
